Features

EMAT
  • Non-contact EMAT technique.
  • Detects and differentiates between planar-type defects along the weld (lack of fusion, lack of penetration, concavity) and point-type defects (internal porosity, pinholes).
  • Detects point-type defects as small as 0.2mm and planar-type equal to 10% of the thickness.
  • Easy to deploy. The guided wave technique doesn’t require perfect alignment with the weld.
  • Encoded scanners for hand-held or automated inspection.
