The temate Si-BW is designed for automated inspection of Butt Welds. It uses guided waves to permit rapid scanning of welds up to 0.5" (15mm) in thickness. The proprietary sensor detects surface and internal defects and discriminates between "planar" defects such as lack of fusion, lack of penetration, concavity or mismatch, and "point" defects such as holes and porosity.
